Ok - so things are starting to line up - we have vendors, a space, and a sponsor. How could we make sure this event is attractive though? Especially if it is in a part of Rockaway that is not yet too familiar to people (the Beach 50's area)?
It is key that we make sure the food is unique and of very high quality - we'd like to make this an attraction for foodies.
Pretty cool. Is there someone proactively inviting local food vendors/ent to fill up spots? Has a vendor registration process and onboarding process been developed? And finally, has a venue been secured?
Yes, we at RBA are recruiting vendors. No formal process is set up yet, but we are mainly looking for food entrepreneurs from moderate and low income communities in Rockaway. Know of anyone who might be interested?
Hi, my name is Nadia and I specialize in Caribbean fusion cuisine. I am interested in becoming a vendor. Please let me know what the process is.
We are just trying to settle on the date, but we for sure have you on the list. The event will likely be on July 15th - and then will be once a month moving forward. Let me know whatever else we can help out with in the meantime.
